The Architecture department at the Hijjawi faculty for engineering technology organized an educational visit to Aqaba city as part of the “Design studio 6” course schedule. The visit was to the proposed location of “Marsa Zaed” in order to study the existing projects as case studies for a proposed project titled “Aqaba water park” set to be built on the same site.
Aqaba city was chosen for this project because of its strategic location and tourism attraction as Jordan’s only port on the red sea.
Fifty students have participated in the visit alongside a number of faculty members and supervisors. The two-day visit included stops at: The Saraya Aqaba Project, Royal Yacht club, Aqaba Aquarium and The Aqaba port.
