About the Program
The Bachelor in Electronics Engineering degree program at the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology was established in 1993. This program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Electrical, Computer, Communications, Telecommunications Engineering Program Criteria. In 2024, the degree program name has been changed to Bachelor in Electronics and Robotics Engineering.
The Bachelor in Electronics and Robotics Engineering degree program is an interdisciplinary program that integrates principles of electronics engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering to design and develop advanced robotic systems. The program aims to prepare students to develop intelligent machines and electronic systems capable of operating independently or with minimal supervision. The focus is on providing innovative solutions to engineering challenges in various fields, such as industry, healthcare, and transportation.
Special emphasis has been given to the program curriculum to stay up to date with the rapidly changing in the electronics and robotics engineering field. The curriculum includes numerous general and specialized courses, four career development courses, four-month in-field industrial practical training, and two-term graduation projects. This prepares our graduates to quickly enroll in the job market.

Study Plan
The study plan of the Bachelor in Electronics and Robotics Engineering degree program comprises 167 credit hours. It includes specialized courses in electronics and robotics, supported by numerous practical laboratories.
Four career development courses are integrated to enhance both hard and soft skills, starting from the first year of enrollment. The program also features two capstone projects and a mandatory four-month field training, providing hands-on industry experience. Additionally, students may waive up to three elective courses upon earning recognized international certifications relevant to the program.
Foreign language courses are included to strengthen graduates’ employability and expand their opportunities in international companies and academic institutions.
Overall, the curriculum is rich, modern, and comprehensive, ensuring graduates are well-equipped with the technical expertise and practical skills needed to thrive in today’s fast-evolving engineering and technology landscape.
