About the Program

The Bachelor in Electronics Engineering degree program at the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology was established in 1993. This program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Electrical, Computer, Communications, Telecommunications Engineering Program Criteria. In 2024, the degree program name has been changed to Bachelor in Electronics and Robotics Engineering.

The Bachelor in Electronics and Robotics Engineering degree program is an interdisciplinary program that integrates principles of electronics engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering to design and develop advanced robotic systems. The program aims to prepare students to develop intelligent machines and electronic systems capable of operating independently or with minimal supervision. The focus is on providing innovative solutions to engineering challenges in various fields, such as industry, healthcare, and transportation.

Special emphasis has been given to the program curriculum to stay up to date with the rapidly changing in the electronics and robotics engineering field. The curriculum includes numerous general and specialized courses, four career development courses, four-month in-field industrial practical training, and two-term graduation projects. This prepares our graduates to quickly enroll in the job market.
