About Graduation Projects

The Graduation Project is a cornerstone of the academic experience at the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, designed to integrate students’ theoretical knowledge with hands-on, practical application. It consists of two phases—Graduation Project I and Graduation Project II—and provides a structured opportunity for students to demonstrate creativity, collaboration, and engineering problem-solving skills.

Graduation Project I

In this initial phase, students work in teams of 2 to 4 members to select a project topic aligned with their interests and field of study. Each group is assigned a faculty supervisor who guides the team through the research, planning, and preliminary design process. The phase culminates in the submission of a technical report and a formal oral presentation, both of which are assessed by the supervisor using clear evaluation criteria.

Graduation Project II

In the second phase, students implement the design developed during the first part of the project. This phase emphasizes comprehensive engineering work, including design refinement, implementation, testing, and documentation, along with aspects such as project management, ethical considerations, economic evaluation, and sustainability principles. At the end of the term, each team submits a final technical report and presents their work before a Project Examination Committee for evaluation.

The Graduation Project experience not only highlights students’ technical and analytical capabilities but also enhances skills in communication, teamwork, and innovation—preparing them for real-world challenges in their engineering careers.
