About the Program
The Bachelor in Industrial Engineering degree program at the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, Yarmouk University, was established in 2013. The program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Industrial Engineering Program Criteria.
Designed to prepare students for dynamic roles in engineering and management, the program equips graduates with a strong foundation in key industrial engineering domains, including operations management, systems analysis, operations research, engineering economics, production and inventory control, project scheduling, quality assurance, ergonomics, safety, and manufacturing systems. The curriculum fosters a holistic understanding of how people, technology, systems, and business processes interact—empowering students to optimize performance in diverse organizational settings.
The program places strong emphasis on applied learning through practical courses, laboratory work, and field training, enabling students to bridge theory with real-world application. A two-term graduation project and a mandatory two-month full-time practical training in industrial environments ensure hands-on experience and professional readiness.
With continual curriculum updates aligned with global advancements and industry trends, the program supports lifelong learning and skill development. Graduates are prepared to pursue broad and flexible career opportunities in manufacturing, logistics, consulting, quality management, and systems design—or to continue their studies in graduate programs.
