Overview

The Department of Civil Engineering at Yarmouk University was established in the year 2012. The department offers a Bachelor's degree of Science in Engineering Technology with a major in Civil Engineering. The program currently offers two tracks in civil engineering; Construction Management and Building Technology track. In addition, the department curriculum has given particular prominence to stay updated with the swiftly shifting civil engineering arena. The curriculum comprises various general and specialized courses, two-month in-field industrial practical training, and a two-term graduation project, which are vital in quickly preparing our graduates to enrol in the job market.

The department has twenty faculty members specializing in various disciplines of civil engineering. In addition, the department is furnished with seven laboratories operated by nine engineers and one technician. The faculty members perform scientific research in various fields of civil engineering such as Structural Engineering, Construction Materials Sciences, Transportation Engineering, Pavement Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental and Waste Water Treatment Engineering, and Construction Project Management and Engineering. Their research results were published and presented in several international journals and conferences.
