About the Department
Established in 1989, the Department of Communication Engineering at the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, Yarmouk University, has been a cornerstone in advancing the communication industry in Jordan and beyond. Since its inception, the department has consistently produced highly qualified graduates who contribute significantly to both local and international markets.
The department currently offers a Bachelor in Communication Engineering degree program, designed to equip students with a solid theoretical foundation complemented by practical, hands-on experience. In addition, it offers a Master in Wireless Communication Engineering degree program, preparing students for advanced roles in academia, research, and the telecommunications industry.
Our academic staff comprises a team of experienced and highly qualified faculty members, each specializing in different areas of communication engineering. Their diverse expertise enriches the learning environment and supports a wide range of research activities.
To ensure a comprehensive educational experience, the department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories tailored for various aspects of communication engineering. Laboratories and Engineers
The Department of Communication Engineering features a range of modern laboratories that support both teaching and research in key areas of communication technology. These include the Analog Communications Lab, Digital Communications Lab, Fiber Optical Communications Lab, Microwave Systems Lab, and Digital Signal Processing Lab.
Equipped with advanced instruments, the labs offer students hands-on experience in signal transmission, optical systems, high-frequency circuits, and digital processing. Each lab is overseen by skilled engineers and technicians who maintain the facilities and ensure a productive learning environment.
