Communication Engineering
Overview
The Communication Engineering Department (CME) at Yarmouk University was established in 1989. Ever since, it has been playing a vital role in providing the market of the communication industry in Jordan and abroad with high-level engineering graduates. The department offers a bachelor’s degree of Science in Engineering Technology (B.S.E.T) with a major in Communication Engineering. The curriculum was precisely designed to provide the students with specialized and advanced topics in communication, including wireless and mobile communications, satellite communications, Microwave, antennas, data communication, computer networks, digital signal processing, and a two-term graduation project. This equips our graduates with the necessary experiences to succeed in the communication industry, government service, or graduate schools.
We have distinguished ourselves by offering a training program that provides our students with live experience in leading companies in Jordan and abroad. A four-month practical full-time training of all students is required and worth six credit hours. Our training program enhances students’ employment opportunities and provides a strong industry tie. Our faculty members monitor this program to ensure that students acquire the required practical skills.
CME department also offers a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Wireless Communication Engineering.
