On behalf of the Dean of Hijjawi faculty for Technology Engineering, the vice dean Dr. Ali Eyadeh sponsored the first concrete competition in the faculty, organized by the American Concrete Institute- Yarmouk University Chapter. Over sixty students participated in two concrete competitions called “The Strongest”. A total of 17 student teams participated in the Beam Flexural and Plate Impact competition. The main objective was to achieve the strongest concrete mix using several additives in order to resist the flexural and impact tests. Representatives from Jordanian Engineers Association, Jordan Concrete Association, Grand Academy for Training and Consultancy and Lafarge Jordan have attended the event, and the teams were honored the first three positions in each competition.
