About the Faculty
Established in 1984 through the generous support of the Scientific Foundation of Hisham Adeeb Hijjawi (SFOHAH), the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology has grown into one of Jordan’s leading institutions for engineering education and applied research. The faculty was founded with a clear mission: to produce highly skilled engineers with the technical expertise and practical experience needed to meet the evolving demands of industry and society.
Today, the Hijjawi Faculty offers 12 undergraduate degree programs and 6 master’s degree programs across eight academic departments, each dedicated to a vital field of modern engineering:
These departments support diverse and future-oriented areas of study in engineering, including electronics, robotics, communication, wireless communication, computer engineering, Internet of Things (IoT), electrical power, biomedical systems, biomedical informatics, industrial engineering, engineering management, architectural engineering, civil engineering, smart cities, and construction management.
With a strong focus on applied learning, students gain early exposure to real-world challenges through modern labs, design studios, hands-on field training, and collaborative research. The Hijjawi Faculty maintains partnerships with local and international institutions, ensuring its programs remain aligned with global industry trends and technological advancements.
