Hijjawi Students Join Training Program in Taiwan

In a move that reflects the commitment of the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology at Yarmouk University to provide its students with top-tier educational and training opportunities, the Faculty—supported by the Hisham Adeeb Hijjawi Scientific Foundation—has sent six of its students to participate in an international training program funded by Taiwan's National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), which will span four months.

Students from the Departments of Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering, and Computer Engineering are currently participating in the program. Abdullah Na’amneh, from the Department of Electronics Engineering, joined the Advanced Mixed Operating System Lab at Tamkang University, where he is focusing on the design of integrated electronic circuits.

Sadeel Al-Azzam, also from Electronics Engineering, is training at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, where her work centers on the applications of artificial intelligence in medical electronics.

Meanwhile, Yara Shalabi, Atab Obaidat, and Razan Al-Laham from the Computer Engineering Department are conducting their training in specialized labs at Yuan Ze University, focusing on smart computing and networking systems.

Additionally, Rania Al-Qawasmi from the Communications Engineering Department is training at the Microgrid and Power Conversion Lab at Yuan Ze University, where she is working on smart grid technologies and power conversion systems.

This international program aims to enhance students' research and practical skills, offer them global exposure in their respective fields, strengthen their innovation and creativity, and help them build academic networks with researchers from diverse backgrounds.

Dr. Mohammad Alzubaidi, Dean of the Hijjawi Faculty, praised this international participation, expressing pride in the distinguished students representing the Faculty. He emphasized that such opportunities are aligned with the Faculty’s mission to provide students with high-quality academic experiences and open new horizons for their professional and academic development.

He added that this initiative affirms the Faculty's leadership in engineering education and its continuous pursuit of opportunities that empower its students to become future leaders in their fields.
